Harper County Public Works Department is hiring for a Full Time Right of Way (ROW) Technician / Solid Waste Facility Manager.
Under the supervision of the Public Works Director the Right of Way (ROW) Technician / Solid Waste Facility Manager is a dual role, responsible for ensuring that all traffic control devices installed on County roadways are compliant with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) to ensure safe and orderly movement of traffic throughout the County right of way system. This position is also responsible for the management of the Harper County Landfill, working to ensure a safe and efficient operation.
Applicants must possess the ability to interact well with people, communicate effectively, require minimal supervision, and handle several tasks simultaneously. At least two years of experience in a construction setting, or similar industry is required.
Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid, non-restricted driver’s license (CDL preferred). Ability to complete required certification courses and pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen required.
