Harper County Public Works (formerly the Road and Bridge Department) is hiring Bridge Crewmen.
Responsibilities:
Performs bridge repair, construction, replacement and inspection.
Lays out bridge.
Welds and fabricates steel and rods to different thickness and requirements as job calls for in bridge construction.
Operates light and heavy equipment such as a crane, loader, motor grader, mower, roller, tractor, paint striping, crack fill machine, backhoe, chain saw, sheep foot, high loader, water trucks, bobtail, wench truck, broom, dump truck, semi-tractor, trailer, implement tractor, and other light and heavy equipment.
Requirements include High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in a construction related setting. Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required. Current CDL is preferred.
Hiring range is $15.05 - $16.94, actual rate of pay determined based on relevant experience and skill level.
