Job Opening: Bridge Crewman, Public Works Bridge Crew

Harper County Public Works (formerly the Road and Bridge Department) is hiring Bridge Crewmen.

Responsibilities:

• Performs bridge repair, construction, replacement and inspection.

• Lays out bridge.

• Welds and fabricates steel and rods to different thickness and requirements as job calls for in bridge construction.

• Operates light and heavy equipment such as a crane, loader, motor grader, mower, roller, tractor, paint striping, crack fill machine, backhoe, chain saw, sheep foot, high loader, water trucks, bobtail, wench truck, broom, dump truck, semi-tractor, trailer, implement tractor, and other light and heavy equipment.

Requirements include High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in a construction related setting. Pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check required. Current CDL is preferred.

Hiring range is $15.05 - $16.94, actual rate of pay determined based on relevant experience and skill level.
