History

The Harper County Department on Aging originally began as the Harper County Council on Aging, Inc. in 1979. The Council on Aging, Inc. offered some of the first aging programs in Harper County.

In 1985 the board of the Harper County Council on Aging, Inc. voted to put services for the elderly & disabled under the regulation of the Harper County government. The Harper County Council on Aging, Inc. officially became the Harper County Department on Aging on January 1, 1986.

The Harper County Department on Aging is the administrator for services for the elderly and the Public Transportation Services program for Harper County.Aging Bus Need a Lift May 2021
